My Lost Mornings

A Short Story About Relationships

When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask me how my day was at school. I dont remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that toast and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And Ill never forget what he said: Baby, I love burned toast.

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she is really tired. And besides a little burnt toast never hurt anyone! You know, life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people. Im not the best housekeeper or cook.

What Ive learned over the years is that learning to accept each others faults - and choosing to celebrate each others differences - is the one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And thats my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of GOD. Because in the end, Hes the only One who will be able to give you a relationship where burnt toast isnt a deal-breaker! We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or arent-child or friendship!!

Bright Future

We are never living, but only hoping to live; and, looking forward always to being happy, it is inevitable that we never are so.

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, not to anticipate troubles, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.

The Apple!!!

Once there was a small kid on earth. One fine day it came to know that god is distributing apples to humans in his place at heaven. The kid was so happy to receive that news and it went with lot of enjoyment to heaven to get the apple from god. There was a big queue standing to get apple from god and this kid also joined in that queue. While it was standing, it was fully excited and thrilled for the fact that it is going to receive in person from god's hands. Its turn too came and the kid showed its both the hands to receive apple. God gave the apple but unfortunately the tiny hands couldn't hold that big apple. Apple fell down and got wasted in mud. The kid got so disappointed. The ministers near the god informed that if the kid likes to have an apple from god again then it has to again follow the queue. Having waited for so long the kid didn't want to return back to earth with empty hands so it decided to wait again in the queue.

This time the queue has become even longer than the previous one. While waiting in queue, the kid could see lot of people who returns back with apple in hands and utmost satisfaction on their faces. The kid was so much disappointed and thought why me alone didn't get the apple in hand when all others were easily able to get it. What is the sin I did that I alone should suffer like this. Now the kid was so scared that it should not miss the apple again. Again its turn came and god gave the apple to the kid's hands and after giving the apple god spoke to the kid.

"My dear child, last time after giving you the apple only I noticed the apple I gave to you was a rotten apple and that's why I made that to fell down from your hands. Having given you a rotten apple, I felt bad for you and I wanted to give you the best apple in the farm and that time the best apple in the farm was growing and that's why I made you to wait such a long time in the queue. Here it is. Now the apple that you have in hand is 'The Best' apple in the farm till to date. Enjoy."

Moral : Friends, sometimes it so happens, as even after we put our 100% dedication and commitment things may get delayed or things may go wrong. Believe that god has something great for us and that's why this has happened. Always say, 'Gratitude & patience is absolutely the best way to bring more in one's life'.

Lessons of Life

You cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, and fulfillment of your fall.

Moral

Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.

Don't judge life by one difficult season.

Waht Is My Role Today?

Its true when someone said "life is a like a drama", It all depends on how well you act your role.. And I guess I am very poor in that, Sorry, What's my role?

Every day I question myself and I am sometimes confused that shall I follow as it goes? OR shall I have any plans? Not exactly. It must be both and it includes some hope that some thing goes good Today or Tomorrow.

Yes, I have set some goals to reach, and i have made a plan to reach them. May be the plan doesn't include day by day activities to execute but part of it can be executed any time today or tomorrow.

So I hope that will happen Today or Tomorrow.

And expectations surely I am learning to avoid because that may leads to disappoitnments and sorrows.

"Only one thing has to change for us to know happiness in our lives: where we focus our attention."

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna

I almost gave in. I almost lost. This day almost got to me. Into the air my hands I tossed.  Almost walked away. Almost Cried. Almost threw caution into the wind. Happiness for myself? I almost denied

Almost... Then...I felt a brush of love against my face. Wings wrapped around me in a warm embrace. I heard a whisper into my ear...

"Don't you ever give up, I'm right here."

Lord Krishna said, "O Arjuna! You must fight.  Do not neglect your duty. It is a mistake. You must follow your own Dharma till death. Think that gain and loss, happiness and sorrow are equal.

"You must work alone. Do not think what you will get from that work. See, I am here. I am God. I am by your side. Wake up. Be cheerful. Worship Me. I am the Lord of all the worlds."

Success is failure turned inside out. The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and when you never can tell how close you are.

It may be near when it seems a far; so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit.
It's when things seem worst, you must not quit.

Your success is waiting...

When we see someone successful, we say that he just got lucky. He must have been at the right place at the right time.

People only see one side of the picture.People don't see the failures. If you study history, you will find that all stories of success are also stories of great failures. So if you are failing Remember, success is waiting to happen.

The rose is fairest when it's budding new and hope is brightest when it dawns from fears.

Right Price

“The price of excellence is discipline. The cost of mediocrity is
disappointment.”

Every thing in the life cost some thing.Everything you get is by what you paid. We have many phrases like this that expresses the similar truth.

We complain about what we have, but we never look back what we  have exercised for attaining what we want actually. We play the things around.Sooner or later we realize and complain this is not we thought to get.

stand for something

In our life too, if we want something we have to keep our complete efforts towards it. Never get disappointed when  the results are unexpected. You work for what you want. You will get what you are fit for. This is universal law of existence. Have a attitude to accept the result of your hard work. It may not be in the same form as you expected either positive or other way, its the fruit of your work, so take it for granted and be happy for attaining it.

And start re working again for what you actually want. Because the previous result showed you the result you get what you have done previously. So if the result is not as you like then you change your strategy and achieve what you want. One day or other you are surely going to get it. And no force in this universe can stop you getting it.

You have to get ready to pay the right price of the things you want in your life.

The right price is your attitude, love, sacrifice and dedication.

Love is…

Love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep on watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it.
