Slum Dog Millionaire - A lesson and a review

It happened to watch this movie "Slum Dog Millionaire" on sunday. Apart from all the critics reviews, i just want to present my views on this movie.


After few minutes watching the movie first impresion I got is..."oh! its all about tyhe situations when how Jamal known the answers of the questions asked..". In most of the scenarios, i had closed my eyes many times with different emotions shattered in the mind.It took the audience in the streets of Mumbai and on the roads of life of a slum children.
 
It makes everyone to think about the lifes of  orphan childrens who roam on roads, whom we pass by ignoring daily in our routine life.although everyone knows the pain and harships in growth and upcoming of orphans,every one just ignores thinking they cant do anything anyways.But when we watch this movie it just touch our hearts and wakesup the emotions we burried inside.
 
For the explanation to the question, "the name of the famous film star acted in the fillm Zanzeer?", it showed how we people are flattered and admire CINE-HERO's and how extreme people act for satisfying their love and favoritism towards them.
 
For the scenario which showed the result of WAR between Hindus and Muslims, was very heart touching exploring the truths and darkness that gets into poeple lifes.Their suffering will not be lowered by any compensations given to them.Who fulfill the emptyness in their lifes? Why common man suffer from this religious fights? Who take their responsibility? The Government? or atleast common man, who escaped from the incidents? In such situations we read in newspapers and follow TV channels about what is happening next and next sitting in home and thinking "Oh Thank God!we are safe!" and atmost, most of us perform a formal remembrance meetings for the victims in 2 minutes silence. Aopart from many helping hands of many social welfare organizations, the los they incur is never can be filled. The little Jamal showed his kind heart in the rain to give shade for another human being(Latika) who is also the victim of the war. This raises a question...how many of us giving such a helping hand to our near by needed?
 
At younger stage Jamal and his brother Saleem  showed an example what is called "struggle for existance". It showed how they utilised their intelligence and common sense for living...It showed their big dreams in different stages of life.
 
For the question "Who invented the revolver?", i thought oh i dont know many of the inventors of the things i use in daily life activities. Very funny!!!
 
The movie made viewers feel all the emotions like love, angry, embrace etc etc. which took the main part of the success of the film.
 
The whole commitment Jamal shows for his relationship with Latika was touching deeper in heart.He never had doubted whether she in return loves him or wants him. He always thought her as his betterhalf and companion of his life regardless of how she is living or where she is grown up. What mattered him always is whether she is safe or good and always tried to make her happy upto his extent. It showed an exmaple of unconditional , pure, true and devine LOVE.
 
And Saleem, as a brother and elder of the family , his character was well tailor made and his action showed it all. The sacrifies he gives for his brother, the care and safety he think about his brother rather than his self reflected of the mentality of an elder one in a family.
 
Some parts of the film are unrealistic but it made viewers walk through the reality behind what they see and ignore in their daily routine.
 
Hats Off to the Story Writer, Screenplay, Editor, Director and the whole team involved in making of this film.The music also played much role to make viewers get involved in the situations with much more deeper sense.
 
I would like to say one more thing that there are so many great Indian movies which flahed light on many dark areas of lives and many dark areas of social issues.But they are not much focused to the world as this movie is being hit all around the world.And its true.

A Small Story…

A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed.

The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.

That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble.

Moral of the story: If you don't give your hundred percent in a relationship, you'll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent.. This is applicable for any relationship like friendship,love, employer-employee relationship etc.,

Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully

From the pain comes the dream.

In every forest, on every farm, in every orchard on earth, it's what's under the ground that creates what's above the ground. That's why placing your attention on the fruits that you have already grown is futile. You cannot change the fruits that are already hanging on the tree. You can, however, change tomorrow's fruits. But to do so, you will have to dig below the ground and strengthen the roots.

So, change can be bought by getting change in yourself first. Never try to chaneg this world.... any change that has to happen is the change in "YOU".Unless you change, you can't change anything else in this world.

According to Karma Yoga, the action one has done cannot be destroyed until it has borne its fruit; no power in nature can stop it from yielding its results. If I do an evil action, I must suffer for it; there is no power in this universe to stop or stay it.

Similarly, if I do a good action, there is no power in the universe which can stop its bearing good results. The cause must have its effect; nothing can prevent or restrain this.

The future is only the extension of the present. Do your best now, to get the best "tomorrow".
