What makes the Difference?

Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing.

He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer.

He smiled to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean. As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?" The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean." "I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?" "The sun is up and the tide is going out. And if I don't throw them in they'll die."

"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!" The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said, "It made a difference for that one."

There is something very special in each and every one of us. We have all been gifted with the ability to make a difference. And if we can become aware of that gift, we gain through the strength of our visions the power to shape the future. We must each find our starfish. And if we throw our stars wisely and well, the world will be blessed.

Life

Life before us says us that there is long path, more and more to get.I have to exist in this world at any cost to get all what Life wants to gift to me. I have to struggle for my existance.

I lead my life with many dreams and hopes. In many situations i learn some thing new. Every time i has to remake my attitude towards life. I got to change my attitude towards people. People, they come across in various modes.

I have to accept every hardle that comes in my way. Some hardles taught me lessons, some hardles troubled me, while some hardles disappointed me. But some hardles challenged me.

Whenever a challenge stood before me, it make me think myslef low and make me lose my confidence. I feared some times and I doubted about my own skills. But the positive hope thinking that "Nothing happens BAD to me" is the only attitude that make me stand before the challenges. I standup in front and welcomed all the outcomes of it. When i believed that nothing is going to be BAD, there raised a self-confidense to accept whatever comes is the only "GOOD" left.

Even then if something unwanted happened it never looked so bad because i was expecting it as positive. I expected but never disappaointed. "Lets happen what next is..." is the kind of state of mind i was holding.
I belive in God. It gave me positive strength to dream big.Dreams can be turned to true when we believe that they can be achieved.

I always believed that God wants me to learn something, and this was the test given to me to pass. Everytime i prepare myself to pass by distincton. Good GOD, he never made me failed in any exam till now. And thats what is called the LIFE.

Life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated - OSHO

Path to Liberation

We the "Human Beings", social animals....slaves to desires!!!

We struggle for livelyhood , we work hard to satisfy our desires and wants. we fight with fellow beings, we give pain to fellow living beings. Its all for satisfying our sensory desires.

When we desire for an object sprouts in the mind, it craves for it and the sensory experience that will result by experiencing it. If the person is unable to obtain of his desire then he becomes angry, and when he succeeds in getting it he is intent on protecting it resulting in greed for material possesions and their upkeep.

Thus these three - desire, anger and greed are the cause of an individual's downfall as the mind's swayed by one or the other.

We always ignore ourself towards attaining greater value for the soul and always strive for sesory satisfactions.

The sense organs by nature are outward bound and the self can be realised only by withdrawal of the senses from engagement with the objects. By turning the mind inward with the aid of spiritual practices, the mind will attain one-pointed concentration and grasp the blissful, eternal self within.

Conversations or Questions?

Being busy with heavy work schedules, these days i was not spending much time with any of my friends. Many of them understand the current situation in IT industry taht is not allowing to chat at office hours, but still some friends compalining that in anyway i have to make some time for them...:) Thats true actually.

Work schedules or whatever we involve in and become busy, but we must be concerned about friends. Even if we meet them its for very short time. And as we meet we start questioning each otehr as how are they? what they are doing? and just enquire all about their current life. And in between we answer to some questions posed by them too and say good bye and run in hurry to continue our daily "routine" work.

Yesterday too its happened to meet a friend online. He started questioning.I started answering. After some questions he started asking me "why i am not talking with him?". Then i said him, see we have not been conversing anything till now, its an question hour running between us.Its because in a hurry that any one of us may go offline, we just posing questions to each other thinking that we are caring or concerning about each other.

But we are forgetting the concept of conversation these days. Earlier when we are in college or after studies or at time of searching jobs, we use to send Emails concerning about our friends activities. We use to check mails for replies from friends. Now a days, we check mails for any job requirements or call letters or just to forward any funny mails to friends.

The culture of SMS and Chatting actually getting people nearer but they are erasing the communication or rapport and fellow feeling between them. These communication channels can never transport our feelings of sympathetic understanding. And the intense of the relationship is decreasing to very lower levels.

Conversation these days had became more mechanical and artificial which must actually be binded with emotional content.

Somedays back i even suggested by one of my best friend that not to disclose any of my personal issues about me to any of one whom i believe them as friends, as this may bring troubles for me. I was wondered and asked myself that what actually the conversations between frineds must include about? When friends meet, shall we start discussing on Politics? or on the downfall of IT? or on the Share Markets? Why should they all come between friends.

I strongly believe that if we are friends then we have to talk about our lifes. How we are coming out of problems. How we are goign in the life and with which attitudes.we have to think how to make our friends feel comfort when consoled in times of disappointment. We must chat about how to go forward in our careers. What the gifts they gave or took on their birthdays...Tell about the medicines they took which cured their daily or regular sickness...Share jokes they cut on their collegues or at work place...and much more to chat.

Anyways these all are my opinions.... May be after some years the word "conversation" will be replaced with "chatting" in the dictionaries.May god bless all poeple with more topics to chat about than regualr "hi how r u?" 's.

Step Back For a Long Jump

Some time back i read a line "Always step forward. If you step back, make sure that you are going to give a long jump."

It applies to all the situations. To our career and to our life.

Situations or circumstances in our life makes us to step back in our journey. We bow down our self before the obstacles, losing our power to jump and run again.

Now-a-days people are running to capture their needs and wants.Assume your life journey too is a running race with hurdles, taking you to the peak of the Success mountain. Some hurdles easy to pass and some hurdles need you to jump over them.

In life too, hurdles come across. Some of them pass away by time with little more concern from us.Some hurdles seem to be high. They make us fear by looking at its height. we lose our own confidence and we start thinking we may not jump over it. This attitude makes us lose and fell down before jumping over it.

We have to observe that every hurdle exists with one and the same heights. The actual difference lies in our vision. The fact is that the land we are running is not as straight but its like curves with up and down. The highest hurdles we observe in our life are those that lie on the highest curves of the path.

When you see any vertically high hurdle, be happy that you are just passing an highest peak of your destination. You are just very near to the peak of the success mountain. Keep running by uniting all your strengths; just speed up and get ready to jump over it. Have the vision of your goal. It makes you reach your destination.

Never get worried when you become weak. Even when you are weak, and you are coming nearer to the hurdle then stop running. Just get back 2 or 3 steps, have a deep breath, make your mind calm, at once run with highest speed and jump over that hurdle. Hey, You are the WINNER now!!.

Always chase your hurdles. Never Stop.Never take rest. Leave no chance to laziness.Keep your vision on the goal and go.Never get attracted with temporary glitters of metallic medals. You have to achieve the gold medal.

Keep Running!! Wish you best of Luck!
